Poem: “A King, A Victim, A Priest”

A King, A Victim, A Priest

A king,
A victim,
A priest,

A king accused,
A victim scourged,
A priest condemned,

A king crowned and robed,
A victim beaten and humiliated,
A priest on the altar of the Cross,

O Anointed One,
O Crucified One,
O Holy One,
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done.
Eternal Priesthood won.

And He had St Dismas to be with Him and to die the same death; and to proclaim His Kingdom from the top of Calvary-in return for which the King let him know he was going with Him that very day. Joann, thank you for your words and your insight. Guy McClung
