Poem: “Sister Mary”

Sister Mary
(for all Sisters & Nuns)

Mary, Mary how does your garden grow?
With brilliance and burdens
Teaching and sowing
This is how you bring souls to me.

Mary, Mary how does your garden grow?
With sacrifice and effort
Hard work,sometimes without rest
This is how you please me.

Mary, my Mary how does your garden grow?
On many levels of many things
You are there for me.
This my love you do, all for me.

Mary, Mary your garden grows.
It grows in the sight of your Lord.
Much you have done that you do not know.
But all you have done is for me.

Mary, Mary your garden grows well
Watered by tears and sacrifice.
It blooms in abundance for your Lord to see.
My Mary I am pleased with thee.

Mary, Mary tend to my garden
As you have always done.
Sometimes hard, sometimes joyous
But always with the hoe in your hand.

A hand that you have given to me,
In everlasting love.
To be my bride forever and ever,
It is the vow you took.

And I for my part have promised my love.
And to always walk at your side.
My promise I keep as you have kept yours,
To love me and to work in my garden.

Mary, Mary how does your garden grow?
It grows with such a fragrance,
Its’ scent rises to Heaven.
And each day we are blest
By the aroma of your love.

Mary, Mary how does your garden grow?
It grows well my love.
It grows well.
And I thank you for your love.

Mary, Mary how does your garden grow?
You have no idea how it grows my love.
But you shall see, you shall see
When you join me.

And I shall recount for all to hear
The deeds you have done.
And the love you have given
And how happy you have made me.

Mary, Mary how did your garden grow?
It grows well. It grows well.
And we shall watch its’ harvest,
In Heaven together.

Praise God
Amen
