Still a Bottomless Pit IV

Interest Paid on the Federal Debt

Federal Debt Interest 2017

(Source.)

In this century, the U.S. Treasury has paid $7,084,454,965,572.52 interest on the national debt.

Seven trillion, 84 billion, 454 million, 965 thousand, 572 dollars and 52 cents.

That’s an average of $393,580,831,420.70 per year.

Always odd, how these figures hardly ever get into the news, isn’t it?
