Human Life — The Issue!

baby-flag2As a very long election season comes to a close, there is a fury of endless media messages attempting to focus voters on issues. There are countless issues to sort through that are facing our nation as we head to cast our ballots on Election Day, and it often becomes difficult to prioritize what matters most. Poverty, hunger, jobs, crime, national security, and health care are just a few of the topics causing fear and anxiety.

There is one issue facing our culture that receives little media attention that should be the #1 priority of our country if we are ever going to be blessed by God again. That issue is restoring the sanctity of Human Life and ending the slaughter of our most vulnerable citizens.

Since 1973 we have terminated more than 58 million innocent, defenseless children, and each day in the United States we abort 3500+ priceless gifts from our Creator. We have transformed from “One Nation under God” to “One Nation that has thrown God under.”

Rapid advances in science and technology have clearly shown us the miracle of life in the womb, and thanks to health care progress children born weighing less than 2 lbs. that fit in your hand are growing up healthy and thriving. There is NO denying that unborn children are members of the human family.

Many policymakers claim during election time that they “look out for the little guy” and are champions of those that need a voice. Children in the womb represent the littlest guys and girls in our society, and they need committed Life Champions and loud voices to defend and protect them – Proverbs 31:8 “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

When we consider all the concerns facing our country, the time has come for us to focus on the fact that the sanctity of Human Life is not an issue it is the issue. We will never prosper or move forward until the issue has been resolved, and our Creator calls us to this mission and will eternally hold us responsible for how we respond to this LIFE task: Proverbs 24:11-12

Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?
